OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahomans can learn more about insurance company filings by using a new online tool. The website has filings for property, casualty, life and health insurance products.
“My department is committed to giving consumers the information they need to make the right decisions for their families,” said Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak. “This new service demonstrates our dedication to that goal. It also offers greater transparency.”
Consumers can now search for rate and form filings using SERFF Filing Access or SFA. SERFF stands for System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing. Oklahomans can visit https://filingaccess.serff.com/sfa/home/OKto search the filings at no cost.
Previously, public access was only available through a written request to the Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) or through a computer at the OID office in Oklahoma City.
"Web access to insurance rate and policy form filings is a great advance for consumers and the public," said Birny Birnbaum, Director of the Center for Economic Justice, a non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of insurance consumers.
