Pursuant to Section 6218 of the
Oklahoma Insurance Code.

DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY AND ORDER
COMES NOW the State of Oklahoma ex rel. John Doak, Insurance Commissioner, on this 1st day of February, 2011, and issues this order based upon the following findings and conclusions of law, to wit:
JURISDICTION
1. That John Doak is the Insurance Commissioner of the State of Oklahoma and as such is charged with the duty of administering and enforcing all provisions of the Oklahoma Insurance Code, 36 O.S. §§ 101-7004.
2. That pursuant to Section 6218 of Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statues, in the event of a catastrophe, the Insurance Commissioner may declare an emergency to exist, and in the event of such a declaration, the Commissioner may issue a license as an emergency adjuster to any resident or nonresident applicant.
FINDINGS OF FACT
That on and or around February 1st and 2nd , 2011, severe snow, ice and wind storms caused widespread damage to the people and property of the State of Oklahoma, resulting in a catastrophe in the State of Oklahoma.
CONCLUSIONS OF LAW
1. That, pursuant to Section 6218 of Title 36, in the event of a catastrophe, the Insurance Commissioner may declare an emergency to exist, and in the event of such a declaration, the Commissioner may issue a license as an emergency adjuster to any resident or nonresident applicant.
2. That, pursuant to Section 6218 of Title 36, an individual licensed as an emergency adjuster pursuant to Section 6218 may only adjust claims related to the catastrophe.
3. That, pursuant to Section 6218 of Title 36, a license as an emergency adjuster shall remain in force for not more than ninety (90) days from the date of issue, unless extended for an additional ninety (90) days by the Commissioner.
4. That, pursuant to Section 6218 of Title 36, the Insurance Commissioner should declare that an emergency exists.
ORDER
IT IS THEREFORE DECLARED AND ORDERED by the Insurance Commissioner that an emergency exists due to a catastrophe caused by severe snow, ice and wind storms on or about February 1st and 2nd, 2011, causing widespread damage to the people and property of the State of Oklahoma, resulting in a catastrophe in the State of Oklahoma.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that emergency licenses are hereby issued to those adjusters who are currently duly licensed and in good standing in another State of the United States of America, to serve as emergency adjusters pursuant to Section 6218 of Title 36 of the Oklahoma Insurance Code to adjust losses occurring as a result of the storms on or around February 1 and February 2, 2011.
